Work at your tasks in due season

Posted by admin on July 6, 2013 with No Comments

We all want to be happy and successful. We all want to able to dream big and work hard towards achieving our dreams and our goals. Part of the journey of life for each of us involves finding a passion and pursuing it. According  to Sirach 51:30 (New American Bible), “work at your tasks in due season, and in his own time God will give you your reward.”

This means that if we continue to work towards achieving our goals God will continue to bless us. The problem is that most of us start of without asking for God’s help. We do not present our situation to God and ask Him to help us with spirit of discernment. This will help make sure that what we are pursuing is part of God’s plan for us.

Secondly we need to ask God to help us overcome the obstacles we may encounter as we try to live the happy lives we have always wanted. After all, the evil one, never rests. Remember, that He is prowling around looking for whom to devour. This is why we most pray everyday and steadfastly try to do our work in due season. It is for us to compare ourselves with others.

We simply need to focus on making sure we are doing our best everyday, whether it is popular or not. After all James, 5:11(New American Bible) says, “We call blessed all have persevered”.  We cannot our obstacles to define us. no matter what people will say about us we must continue to try to do “our work in due season”.

A simple plan to help us to do this is the following: Go to mass everyday. Read the bible everyday. Tell God about your plans and the daily actions you wish to take to achieve them. Say the Thank you Jesus rosary every day. It is one of the most powerful ways to say “Thank You’ to Jesus. if you have not tired it , try it today. As God throughout the day to help you succeed, despite your mistakes and weakness.

Remember that God makes all things beautiful in his time. I would like to end by quoting the doxology from, Jude 1:24 -25(New American Bible), ” To the one who is able to keep you from stumbling and to present you unblemished and exultant, in the presence of his glory, to the only God, our savior, majesty, power, and authority from ages  past, now , and for ages to come, Amen.!!!!
