How To Become A Disciple Of Christ In Your Daily Life

Posted by admin on February 26, 2012 with No Comments

I am sure we are all looking for a way to consistently live our daily lives as disciples of Christ. As we get older we find out that though becoming a disciple of is desirable,it is difficult to do so without the help of Christ. How do you become a disciple for Christ in your daily life?

One way to begin is to learn more about how Jesus Christ lived out his own daily life.We can do this through reading the bible and going for mass regularly. In the mass Christ is both the sacrifice and the Priest who carries out the sacrifice.

This means that for us to become a disciple of Christ’s in our daily lives,we have to be totally submerged in Him all the time. This means you have to be like Christ in every encounter and situation you experience throughout the day.

Humanly speaking this is impossible without the help of the Holy Spirit and the Grace of God.This is why daily prayers are so important.By daily prayer,I mean praying at the beginning of the day, during the day and at the end the day. This is one way we can constantly share our thoughts and plans with Christ and Him to help us live more like Him everyday. This is daily discipleship.

We can do this through transforming by beholding. This is why weekly adoration is so important. It enables to transform ourselves through our weekly spiritual encounter with God.This is precisely what Fr. Mbaka asks us to do as members of the Adoration Family both at home and abroad.

The key to becoming a daily disciple of Christ everyday is to pray without being distracted. If we know we are falling short, we must confess our sins and pick up our cross and present ourselves to God everyday.

Remember that pride comes before a fall.God love’s us despite our sinfulness and weaknesses. He loves more when after falling,we pick up ourselves and continue to seek to do His will in the various moments and circumstances of our daily lives.

This is discipleship in action.May God have mercy on us and give us the strength to follow Him everyday and reject the devil and all his tricks and lies.

Amen Adoremus
